We love and cherish natural ingredients. This is why we take most of our ingredients straight from nature. Most of the natural ingredients we use have amazing healing, repairing, and soothing qualities. Here are a few highlights!

Rosemary Essential Oil

Helps with scalp issues. This is an essential oil which has been used for centuries in hair and body care. As an anti-fungal & antiseptic it helps relieve scalp conditions such as dandruff and scalp psoriasis - reducing itchiness. Applying rosemary oil on scalp increases circulation and promotes hair growth. It also slows premature grey hair. Essential oils such as Rosemary must be handled with care. They should be properly diluted in a carrier oil before use. We have carefully done this in product recipes to extract great results on hair.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender

Lavender essential oil has many benefits on hair and skin. It is well known for its awesome relaxing and calming scent.

Lavender oil has powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antiseptic and antibacterial properties which relieve scalp issues such as scalp psoriasis, eczema, itching, dandruff and itchiness. When applied on scalp it helps increase blood circulation which in turn revives hair follicles supporting healthy hair growth.

Essential oils including Lavender must be handled with care. They should be properly diluted in a carrier oil before use.

Castor Oil & Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Rich & Thick. These are our much loved ingredients. Castor oil is renowned for its excellent qualities in skin and hair care. It contains omega 6, essential castor oil seeds fatty acids, proteins and vitamin E. In hair care it is widely believed to help with hair growth and thickening. Castor oil has humectant properties which makes it fantastic at keeping hair moisturised for longer periods. Hair treatments containing castor oil have been shown to increase hair shine and lustre. This comes from castor oil’s ability to coat the hair surface. Anti fungal and antibacterial properties in castor oil are useful in combating scalp infections which can cause hair loss. Applying castor oil on the scalp can also help to increase blood circulation thereby stimulating hair growth. As a conditioning treatment, castor oil helps reduce split ends. This in turn prevents hair loss and breakage. Nutrients in castor oil can penetrate dry and damaged hair - smoothing rough cuticles and helping the hair shaft retain moisture.

Honey

As a great humectant, honey is an essential ingredient in hair care. It helps with hair moisture retention. Natural hair tends to be dry and brittle. The presence of honey helps hair to draw and retain moisture. Minerals in honey include calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Honey also has anti-bacterial properties which reduce dandruff and scalp psoriasis. As a strong emollient honey helps reduce hair freeze and fly-aways. The heavy and sticky nature of honey allows it to stick onto hair easily thereby smoothing hair cuticles, boosting shine and lustre.

Honey is useful in deep conditioning and scalp treatment preparations.

Avocado oil

An oil rich in fatty acids and vitamins help keep natural hair moisturised and nourished. It is very effective for dry, brittle and damaged hair. Vitamins (A, B, C & D) and nutrients such as amino acids, iron, copper, magnesium, folic acid and protein can all be found in avocado oil. These protect the scalp, feed hair follicles and support healthy hair growth. Avocado oil is lightweight, therefore it is easily absorbed by hair and scalp. It acts as a natural sun proof (SPF). Since avocado oil is easily absorbed by hair, it can be used as an effective deep conditioner on the scalp or as a hair sealant.
